Job summary (Located in Manassas, VA):
Design, develop, test and maintain solutions to support SWIFT internal business processes mainly for IT, Sales, Marketing, Finance and HR divisions. We are looking for a graduate who could join our development team as of this summer. You will find a motivating work environment which will integrate you smoothly and where you will have plenty of opportunities to demonstrate all your personal and technical strengths.

Your responsibilities will be to:

Develop, implement, test and/or maintain detailed logic.
Gain understanding of customer requirements.
Contribute in the preparation of systems specifications, codes, tests, debugs, documentation, job controls, deliverables.
Discuss problems and possible solutions with more senior team members.
Maintain program libraries and technical documentation.
Provide technical assistance to other SWIFT colleagues in their daily work.
You will be involved in full back office products development cycle. Our products includes several ERPs, data warehouses, web applications, ... and touch upon all possible business processes at SWIFT (order to cash, business intelligence, Pre Sales, Financial, HR and logistic chain)

Job Requirements
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
0-2 years of knowledge/ experience in C/C++/ Java programming, Shell Scripting, Database and Unix/Windows Environment
Strong analytical and communication skills
Any relevant professional experience an asset.
Must be authorized to work in the US.

Responsibilities :
Accountable for System Availability & Performance (SA&P) modeling services within project and/or operating asset from beginning to end; customer and stakeholder management, scope definition, program development, planning, organisation, resources, execution, assurance, close out and capturing of lessons learned, as a subject matter expert, coordinate or and/or supervisor in case services are provided by contractor

  • Understanding differences in alternative approaches for SA&P and offering the most cost effective solution for the required quality
  • Maintaining knowledge of external developments of IT tools and service providers for SA&P
  • Maintaining knowledge and usage of of sources for industry reliability data, e.g. OREDA
  • Lead (for small programs) or participate in (for large, integrated programs) the delivery of SA&P
  • Contributes to technology development in his discipline, adding value to the business
  • Customer engagement at project, asset and OU leadership level, advising and coaching management teams, project, operations, engineering and technical managers
  • Gives expert advice to customers on most complex technological/organisational issues

Work with vendors’ engineering group to provide solutions to complex issues
Maintain certification and enhance technical abilities

Five to ten years of direct experience managing or supporting enterprise-level environments
Strong knowledge of storage NAS, SAN or Data Management technologies (prefer Equalogic, EMC or Compellent)
Advanced knowledge in at least one of the following: Linux, networking, VMWare ESX, Microsoft
Administrative experience supporting Linux, networking, VMWare ESX, Microsoft
Applicant must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to make technical decisions with little or no management intervention
